the summer months I stayed on my dacha. This time was devoted to reading
and pondering on project of my doctoral thesis which is, as I mentioned
before, concerns the specific ways of reading the Scriptures during

At a lection on Christian Education |
I began this academic year teaching 5 courses: 1. Hebrew for beginners. 2. Reading texts in the biblical Hebrew. (It is a new course that I desighned in summer. It includes not only reading standart texts from the OT but also archeological texts (Moabite stone) and parts of Talmud (Pirkey Abot). In future I am planning to write a textbook on this course). 3. Logics 4. 5 scrolls. ( A scrupulous reading of the books Ruth, Song of Songs, Lamentations, Ester, and Ecclesiastes) 5. Christian education and Sunday Schools. |

I published a new number of our seminary annual journal Theognosis (here you can download its electronic version). Here I included also my article containing literary translation of the most famous Hebrew inscriptions of the biblical period. Some of these texts ( so important for deeper understanding of the Bible) are published in Russian for the first time. My publishing activity now includes also monthly issue of Informational Bulletin of MBS. |

Last
2 weeks of September and the first week of October I interpreted for
Manfred Brauch the former president of Eastern
Theological Baptist Seminary (Philadelphia, PA) who presented his
course of the NT theology to students of the master program of MBS.

Dear friends! I ask to pray
for God's help at my doctoral studies. Now I am in the process of writing
of proposals for my prayer need is God's help in providing me with inspiration
and time for doing this job. I believe that these prayers will be heard.
